Inky ruby. Smoky, oak-accented aromas of blackberry and cassis, plus a hint of cured meat. Offers a lot of deep dark fruit but the oak is pretty assertive right now. Finishes with good breadth and cling, leaving a strong black fruit note behind. Iíd give this a bit of bottle aging in the hope that the oak will recede.
